I believe this course covers the basics in great detail and breaks things down into what you actually need to know. This saves a lot of time and allows you to cover more area. I also think it is very helpful that Phil is readily available for questions of any sort. All of my questions were answered within minutes.
I would highly recommend this course because of all the resources it provided me and how it taught me to use those resources. For example, all the templates that help with completing point lists, RFIs, BOMs, etc. I can now use these templates for future projects and I will be able to complete control submittals more efficiently. Smart Buildings Academy's programs are designed for all skill levels. Each module builds upon on another and assumes no prior knowledge unless explicitly states in the course description.
Our instructors have extensive real-world experience in the industry and we are accredited with IACET.
You can personally experience his knowledge and teaching ability by scheduling a training demonstration, visiting our Resources archive, listening to the 470+ podcast episodes we have recorded or exploring our YouTube channel.
The course platform hosts a message board where students can ask questions. Questions are answered within 24-hours (often faster) during normal working hours. We also have live business hours three days a week, where a student can reach an instructor to ask a question on the material or about an issue on the job related to the learning material.
From the first day you enroll employees into our courses, our student success team will begin to track their progress. We have automated weekly e-mails that are sent to them to remind them of their assigned lessons.
We can also provide status reports for these students to you via e-mail on a regular basis if required.
All of our self-paced courses can be accessed at any time over the 1-year access period.
Our Workforce Development Program does require access at specific times for live instruction.
Each course was designed to be completed in 60 days assuming the student spends 15 minutes per day on the course.
Students are able to complete it faster or take longer based on their availablility. They have up to 1 year to complete the course.
All of SBA's videos are available on our course website, which is supported by the online training platform Moodle. Upon purchasing the course your employee will receive a series of e-mails that guide them through how to access the course.
Each course is online and self-paced. As soon as you enroll your employees, they will have one year's access to the course(s).
Employees take Knowledge Checks throughout the course and a Final Exam at the end of the course.
In addition to this, each course comes with a course workbook. We recommend you use this course workbook to evaluate your employees mastery of the course material.
